ABOUT NEWG
New England weather, without the hype.
New England Weather Guy is an independent weather product focused on the six New England states. It combines official NOAA/NWS data with NEWG forecast discussion, regional products, live radar, alerts, long-range guidance, and winter operations tools.
Who it is for
Residents and weather enthusiasts can use the everyday forecast tools. Premium is for people who want deeper timing and longer-range information. Contractor Group is for snow removal operations that need weather windows tied to treatment, plowing, freeze and refreeze decisions.
What it is not
NEWG is not a worldwide weather app. It is intentionally focused on New England. Official watches, warnings and life-safety information remain the job of the National Weather Service.

WHO IS THE WEATHER GUY?
Adam Frederick
Adam Frederick is the person behind New England Weather Guy. In NEWG's previously published About page, he explains that he is not a certified meteorologist and does not represent the National Weather Service. He has studied meteorology for more than 20 years and built NEWG around plain-language interpretation of New England weather, while keeping official watches and warnings tied to the NWS.
Public background: NEWG About Me. Independent press has also identified Frederick as a New Hampshire-based amateur meteorologist with more than 20 years of weather experience.
